Ken Winter's J3/J4 hybridHybrid J3/J4 submitted by Ken Winter

Ken writes:
Attached you will find my oliver. After giving it a bath and comparing the serial number (105324) to your list at the museum, I have found out that I have a J4 power head and tower (in Merlin Gray paint, with specks of green under the gray) while the hood and the lower unit is a J3 (Sea Mist green). The number 4 was missing after the model number on the ID tag, so I assumed by the hood that it was a J3. I will go ahead and restore my model as a J4, but what about the hood? Do you know where I can find a J4 hood? I will trade my J3 for one, she has all of her decals except for the Oliver shields on the back sides.

The curator welcomes a new (to us) 35hp Oliver to the museum at the Sunparlour meet in Cottam, Ontario in April, 1999.  The motor was purchased last winter in North Tonawanda NY and picked up, stored and then delivered to us at the meet by John Kwast.  Thanks, John.
